Dara is DJ Tigerlily. She's a party starter, playing for crowds all around the world, but she's also got a soft side, is a bit of a tomboy and passionately advocates for animal rights. She's so many things, and she's written all of them for herself.
I am Dara. I am Tigerlily. I am the author of my own story. The music industry is heavily male dominated, and throughout my career I have been told that I am too bossy, not social enough, too confident, not flexible enough, too demanding, not energetic enough, too sexual, not hot enough.
As a young woman, it can be damaging for outsiders to tell you who you need to be and how you need to look and act. I'm lucky that I have always had thick skin and despite the odds, have been able to step into my own power and control my image, my career and my life in a way that feels right to ME!
Us women aren’t one dimensional, so why should our stories and images be?

I am confident in my skin, yet I still have days where I don't feel great about myself. I love to be the boss, yet need nothing more than knowing I'm safe and protected.
